Amniote

Amniotes are a group of animals that belong to the clade Amniota, characterized by the presence of an Amnion, a membrane that encloses the embryo and helps to retain moisture. This group includes Mammals, Birds, and Reptiles, which are all found in various Ecosystems around the world, from the Old and New Worlds. The amniote clade is thought to have originated around 312 million years ago, during the Carboniferous period, and has since diversified into a wide range of species. Amniotes have several distinct characteristics, including Sensory Receptors and Spinal Nerves, which have enabled them to thrive in different environments. The study of amniotes is closely tied to the fields of Evolutionary Biology and Zoology, and has led to a greater understanding of the complex relationships between different species and their Ecological niches.
