A biochemist is a scientist who studies the chemical processes that occur within living organisms, applying principles from Chemistry and Biology to understand the complex interactions between molecules, cells, and tissues. Biochemists often work in laboratories, using techniques such as Chromatography and Spectroscopy to analyze the structure and function of Biomolecules like Proteins and Nucleic acids. Their research has led to important discoveries in fields like Neuroendocrinology and Human physiology, and has applications in areas such as Environmental science, Pharmaceuticals, and Agriculture.
