Bradycardia
Bradycardia is a medical condition characterized by a slower than normal heart rate, typically defined as a resting heart rate of less than 60 beats per minute in adults. This condition can be caused by a variety of factors, including Cardiac problems, Hormone imbalances, and certain Medications. In some cases, bradycardia can be a normal variation in healthy individuals, particularly in Athletes who have a high level of physical fitness. However, in other cases, it can be a sign of an underlying medical condition that requires treatment. Laboratory tests, such as an electrocardiogram (ECG), can be used to diagnose bradycardia and determine its underlying cause.
