Cave art

Cave art refers to the ancient paintings, drawings, and engravings found on the walls of caves, providing a unique glimpse into the lives and cultures of early humans. The most famous examples of cave art can be found in caves such as Lascaux in France and Altamira in Spain, which feature intricate depictions of Animals, including Horses and Bison. These artworks are believed to have been created by early humans during the Upper Paleolithic period, around 40,000 to 10,000 years ago. The purpose and meaning of cave art are still debated among Archaeologists and Anthropologists, with some theories suggesting that they were used for Hunting rituals, while others believe they may have played a role in Shamanism or Spiritual practices. The study of cave art has also led to a greater understanding of the lives and cultures of early humans, including their Social theory and Cultural practices.
