Command-Line Interface
A command-line interface (CLI) is a way for users to interact with a computer program or operating system by typing commands and receiving text-based output, often used in Linux, Ubuntu, and other Operating Systems. The CLI provides a powerful and flexible way to manage files, execute programs, and configure system settings, making it a popular choice among Computer scientists and Craftspeople. CLIs are often used in conjunction with a Package Manager to install and manage software packages. The CLI has been influential in the development of Computer simulations and Resource management (computing), and has been used by notable individuals such as Andrew S. Tanenbaum and Brendan Eich.
