Contour integration

Contour integration is a technique used in Mathematical geometry and Complex analysis to evaluate Integrals by expressing them as a sum of simpler integrals along a Contour, which is a path or curve in the complex plane. This method is particularly useful for evaluating Definite integrals that are difficult or impossible to evaluate using traditional methods. The technique involves parameterizing the contour and then expressing the integral in terms of the parameter. Researchers such as Blaise Pascal have contributed to the development of contour integration, which has numerous applications in Physics, Engineering, and other fields. Contour integration is closely related to the concept of Residue theorem, which provides a powerful tool for evaluating integrals using contour integration.
