Copenhagen interpretation

The Copenhagen interpretation is a widely-held interpretation of Quantum mechanics, formulated by Niels Bohr and Werner Heisenberg, which posits that a quantum system remains in a state of Superposition until it is observed or measured. This interpretation suggests that the act of observation itself causes the system to collapse into one definite state. The Copenhagen interpretation is often seen as a fundamental aspect of quantum theory, and has been influential in the development of Quantum field theory and other areas of Physics. However, it has also been subject to criticism and debate, with some arguing that it is incomplete or inconsistent. Erwin Schrödinger's famous thought experiment, Schrödinger's cat, was designed to illustrate the apparent paradoxes of the Copenhagen interpretation.
