Creative Commons
Creative Commons is a non-profit organization that provides free, standardized licenses for creators to make their work available for others to use, share, and build upon, while also protecting the creator's rights. The organization was founded by Lawrence Lessig, Hal Abelson, and Eric Eldred in 2001, with the goal of promoting Copyright reform and increasing access to creative works. Creative Commons licenses are widely used in various fields, including Application development, Culinary arts, and Persian literature. These licenses allow creators to specify the terms under which their work can be used, such as Interchangeability and Distribution (mathematics). The use of Creative Commons licenses has enabled the growth of Open-source communities and has facilitated collaboration and innovation in many areas.
