Finite Element Analysis

Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a computational method used to simulate the physical behavior of complex systems, such as Structural Analysis and Thermal Analysis, by dividing them into smaller, simpler components called finite elements. This technique is widely used in various fields, including Engineering, Physics, and Materials Science, to analyze and predict the behavior of systems under different conditions, such as Stress (physics), Strain (materials science), and Vibration. FEA is often used in conjunction with Computer-aided Design (CAD) software and Numerical Methods to solve complex problems. The development of FEA is attributed to the work of Ray Clough and other researchers in the 1950s and 1960s. Today, FEA is a crucial tool in many industries, including Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering.
