Heuristic

A heuristic is a mental shortcut or a rule of thumb that helps individuals make decisions, judgments, or discoveries more efficiently and effectively, often by simplifying complex problems or reducing the amount of information that needs to be processed. Heuristics are commonly used in Deductive reasoning, Problem-solving, and Decision-making processes. The concept of heuristics is closely related to the work of Kurt Gödel and other Researchers in the fields of Mathematical geometry, Dynamical systems, and Philosophy of identity. Heuristics can be used to facilitate Raw observation and Pattern recognition, and are often employed in Map design, Governance, and Cultural Preservation. However, heuristics can also lead to biases and errors, as they rely on mental shortcuts rather than exhaustive analysis.
