Insect
Insects are a diverse group of invertebrate animals that belong to the class Insecta, characterized by their segmented bodies, multiple limbs, and external skeletons. They can be found in almost every habitat on Earth, from the freezing Tropic of Cancer regions to the hottest deserts, and play a crucial role in many Ecosystems. Insects have evolved to occupy a wide range of niches, from Pollination and Decomposition to Predation and Parasitism. The study of insects is known as Entomology, and has led to important discoveries in fields such as Evolution (biology) and Neurodevelopmental research. Insects have also been a source of inspiration for Information Design and Visual programming, with their complex social behaviors and impressive navigational abilities.
