Lyapunov stability
Lyapunov stability is a concept in Mathematics and Control theory that describes the behavior of a Dynamical system in the presence of small disturbances. It is named after the Russian mathematician Aleksandr Lyapunov, who introduced the concept in the late 19th century. A system is said to be Lyapunov stable if, when subjected to a small perturbation, it remains close to its original trajectory over time. This concept is closely related to Asymptotic stability, which describes the behavior of a system as time approaches infinity. Lyapunov stability is often used to analyze the behavior of systems in Physics, Engineering, and other fields, and is a key concept in the study of Complexity (mathematics) and Nonlinear systems.
