Microcontroller
A microcontroller is a small computer on a single integrated circuit, containing a Processor, Memory, and Input/Output peripherals, used to control and interact with external devices, often in Embedded Systems. Microcontrollers are widely used in various applications, including Robotics, Automation, and Internet of Things devices, due to their small size, low power consumption, and ability to perform specific tasks. They are often programmed using Programming paradigms such as C (programming language) or Assembly language, and may utilize Operating Systems like Ubuntu or FreeRTOS to manage resources and tasks. The development of microcontrollers has been influenced by the work of pioneers like Steve Wozniak and Gordon Moore, and continues to evolve with advances in Semiconductor technology and Code generation techniques.
