Native application
A native application is a software program that is developed to run on a specific Operating System and Hardware platform, taking full advantage of the device's capabilities and Resources.
Native applications are typically built using the platform's native Programming Language and Software Development Kit (SDK), allowing for direct access to the device's Hardware components, such as the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and Central Processing Unit (CPU). This results in improved performance, Efficiency, and User Experience compared to non-native applications.
Native applications can be installed directly on the device using a Package Manager, and they often have access to the device's File System, Camera, and other Sensors. Examples of native applications include Mobile Apps developed for Android or iOS, as well as Desktop Applications built for Windows or Ubuntu.
