Participatory Design
Participatory design is a collaborative approach to designing products, services, and systems that involves all stakeholders, including users, designers, and communities, in the design process. This approach emphasizes Empathy, Co-creation, and User-centered design to create solutions that are tailored to the needs and contexts of the users. Participatory design has its roots in Social theory and Émile Durkheim's ideas on social participation and community engagement. It has been applied in various fields, including Urban planning, Software development, and Healthcare, to create more inclusive and effective solutions. The use of Design thinking and Human-computer interaction principles are also essential in participatory design.
