Polyphasic sleep
Polyphasic sleep refers to the practice of taking multiple naps throughout the day instead of one long, continuous period of sleep, also known as Monophasic sleep. This sleep pattern has been adopted by some individuals, including Buckminster Fuller, who claimed to have increased productivity and creativity. Polyphasic sleep can be categorized into different types, such as Uberman sleep schedule, Everyman sleep schedule, and Dymaxion sleep schedule, each with its own unique schedule and benefits. Proponents of polyphasic sleep argue that it allows for more time to pursue activities and interests, while critics argue that it can be difficult to maintain and may lead to Sleep deprivation. Some people use Alarm clocks and Sleep trackers to help them stick to their polyphasic sleep schedule.
