Qubit
A qubit, or quantum bit, is the fundamental unit of quantum information in Quantum computing, capable of existing in multiple states simultaneously, which allows for the processing of vast amounts of information in parallel. This property, known as Superposition, enables qubits to perform calculations that are exponentially faster than classical bits. Qubits are also sensitive to their environment, which can cause Decoherence and loss of quantum properties. To maintain their quantum state, qubits are often cooled to extremely low temperatures, near Absolute zero. The study of qubits is closely related to Quantum mechanics and has led to the development of Quantum algorithms and Quantum cryptography. Researchers like Ashish Vaswani have explored the applications of qubits in various fields, including Machine learning and Cryptography.
