Regression
Regression refers to a phenomenon where a system, process, or relationship returns to a previous state or exhibits a backward trend, often in a statistical or analytical context. This concept is observed in various fields, including Statistics, Machine Learning, Economics, and Psychology. In Statistics, regression analysis is a method used to establish a relationship between variables, such as Error (mathematics) and Probabilistic models. Meanwhile, in Psychology, regression can describe a defense mechanism where an individual reverts to an earlier stage of development. Additionally, Autoregression (machine learning) is a technique used in Machine Learning to forecast future values based on past patterns.
