Sample size

The number of individual observations or units selected from a population for study or analysis. Sample size is fundamental to Experimental design, determining how much information you gather and how confident you can be in your results.

A larger sample size generally yields more reliable estimates and greater proportional precision, reducing the role of random chance. However, larger samples demand more time, money, and effort.
