Speed
Speed is the Measurement of how quickly something changes position, or more broadly, how fast any process unfolds. It answers the question: "how much distance (or change) per unit of time?" Speed is fundamental to understanding motion, causality, and the structure of reality itself.
In everyday experience, speed describes moving objects—a car on a highway, a runner's pace, currents in the ocean. But the concept extends everywhere: the speed of Chemical reactions, the speed of thought, the speed of Software execution, even the speed of evolution visible in the Fossil record.
Speed differs from velocity because it has no direction—only magnitude. A car traveling at 60 mph has a speed; "60 mph northward" is a velocity. In physics, speed is bounded by Light, the universe's cosmic speed limit, a truth that emerges from field theory and relativity.
Speed fascinates because it reveals constraints. Why can't we go faster than light? Why do biological changes happen slowly while digital ones happen instantly? Speed connects to Pattern Recognition, Manipulation, and our deep intuition about time itself.
