Zen
Zen is a school of Mahayana Buddhism that emphasizes the attainment of Enlightenment through meditation and the realization of the impermanent and interconnected nature of all things. It originated in China and was later introduced to Japan, where it developed into a distinct tradition. The practice of Zen involves Meditation, Mindfulness, and the study of Koans, which are paradoxical statements or questions designed to help practitioners transcend dualistic thinking. Zen also emphasizes the importance of Simple living and Non-attachment to worldly desires. The concept of Wu wei, or effortless action, is also central to Zen philosophy.
