Optimization remains crucial: artists and programmers collaborate to balance visual fidelity with real-time performance, a tension at the heart of the discipline.

Accessibility (design) concerns matter too; thoughtful spatial design ensures 3D experiences remain navigable for diverse users. The field continues evolving, merging with Artificial intelligence for procedural generation and physics simulation.
