Central angle
A central angle is an Angle formed at the center of a circle by two lines (called radii) extending to points on the circle's circumference. It's one of the most fundamental concepts in Geometry, bridging the study of circles with broader mathematical ideas about space and measurement.
The size of a central angle determines the arc length it intercepts—a beautiful proportional relationship. If a central angle measures 360 degrees, it sweeps the entire circle; half that angle creates a semicircle. This relationship makes central angles essential for understanding rotations, periodic phenomena, and even the mechanics of orbital mechanics.
