Coming of age
Coming of age refers to the transition from childhood to adulthood, marked by significant physical, emotional, and social changes. This phenomenon is often celebrated through Ritual practices and is a crucial aspect of various Social arrangements and Belief (philosophy) systems. In many cultures, coming of age is associated with Cycle of life events, such as Lunar (calendar) celebrations or Molts in certain Vertebrates. The process of coming of age involves Accepting what cannot be changed and embracing new responsibilities, as emphasized by influential figures like Mahatma Gandhi. It is also closely tied to Labor economics and Public participation, as young adults begin to contribute to their communities and societies.
