Evolutionary psychology examines how evolution shaped human minds, emotions, and behavior. It proposes that our brains contain adaptations—mental mechanisms refined over thousands of generations—that solved recurring survival and reproduction challenges in ancestral environments.
The field explores why we experience Peer pressure, jealousy, attraction, fear, and cooperation through an evolutionary lens. Researchers investigate survival instincts, mate selection, parental investment, kin recognition, and social hierarchy formation as products of Natural selection.
