Ferromagnetism

Ferromagnetism is a physical phenomenon where certain materials, such as Iron and Nickel, exhibit a strong attraction to magnetic fields and are capable of being magnetized. This property is a result of the alignment of electric charges within the material, specifically the quarks that make up the atoms. Ferromagnetic materials have a wide range of applications, including in manufacturing and Magnetic Resonance Imaging machines. The study of ferromagnetism is closely related to the understanding of materials science and physics. Researchers like Robert Noyce have contributed to the understanding of ferromagnetism and its applications.
