Fractal

A fractal is a geometric shape that exhibits self-similarity, meaning it appears the same at different scales, and is often used to model complex systems in Nature, such as Climate modeling and Tides. Fractals can be found in various fields, including Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, and are used to describe phenomena like Curvature (geometry) and Equilibria. The study of fractals is closely related to Chaos theory and Determinism vs Indeterminism, and has been influenced by the work of mathematicians like Benoit Mandelbrot. Fractals have many real-world applications, including Image compression and Network effect analysis. They also appear in Art and Design, particularly in Textile arts and Architecture.
