Operators (mathematics)
In mathematics, an operator is a mathematical object that takes one or more inputs, also known as operands, and produces an output. Operators can be used to perform various mathematical operations, such as Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division. They are often used to describe transformations or mappings between geometric spaces or algebraic structures. Operators play a crucial role in many areas of mathematics, including Linear algebra, Calculus, and Differential equations. The study of operators is closely related to the study of Functions and Transforms, and has numerous applications in Physics, Engineering, and Computer science.
