Orbital mechanics
Orbital mechanics is the study of the motion of objects in Orbit, such as Planets, Moons, Asteroids, and Spacecraft, under the influence of Gravity and other forces. It involves understanding the Fundamental structure of matter and the Cosmic Microwave Background to predict the trajectories of these objects. The field relies heavily on Mathematics, particularly Probability theory and Geometry, including concepts like Point (geometry), Center (geometry), Line (communication), and Surface (geometry). Orbital mechanics is crucial for space exploration, as it enables the design of efficient Spacecraft trajectories and the prediction of Potential collisions. Researchers like Ashish Vaswani have contributed to the development of new methods and tools for orbital mechanics.
