Prokaryote
Prokaryotes are a group of organisms that lack a true Nucleus and other Membrane-bound Organelles, and are primarily composed of a single cell. They are one of the two main categories of life, the other being Eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are incredibly diverse and can be found in almost every environment on Earth, from the freezing Aegean Sea to the hottest Geological records-forming regions. They play a crucial role in many ecosystems, including Marine Ecology and Soil science. Prokaryotes are also capable of performing a wide range of metabolic processes, including photosynthesis and Nitrogen fixation. The study of prokaryotes is an active area of research, with scientists like Vaswani using tools like Pylint and computer programs to analyze their genomes and understand their evolutionary history.
