Protest Music
Protest music is a genre of music that expresses dissatisfaction with or opposition to a particular social, political, or economic issue, often with the goal of inspiring change or raising awareness about a cause. It has been used throughout history as a powerful tool for social movements, allowing artists to express their views and mobilize support for their cause. Protest music often incorporates elements of Folk music, Rock music, and Hip hop, and has been used to address issues such as Inclusivity, Anomie, and Social justice. Many famous musicians, including Bob Dylan and Joan Baez, have used their music as a form of protest, and the genre continues to be an important part of modern music. Protest music has also been influenced by various cultural and historical contexts, such as the Vedic period and Japanese culture.
