Wayfinding
Wayfinding refers to the process of navigating through an environment, whether physical or informational, to reach a desired destination. It involves the use of Spatial awareness, Cognitive mapping, and Information flow to create a mental map of the space and make decisions about which path to take. In Urban infrastructure, wayfinding is crucial for designing intuitive and user-friendly Public transportation systems, Pedestrian routes, and Building layouts. The concept of wayfinding is also relevant in User Experience design, where it is used to create clear and concise Navigation systems for Websites and Video game engines. Additionally, wayfinding is an important aspect of Travel journals and Exploration, as it allows individuals to document and reflect on their journeys.
