The concept of drive is closely related to Motivation and is often used to describe the internal states that prompt people to act in certain ways. According to Behavioral psychology, drives are the result of physiological needs, such as hunger or thirst, which create a state of tension that can only be relieved by satisfying the need. This concept is also linked to Autonomy and Self-determination theory, which suggest that individuals have an inherent tendency to pursue their interests and goals. The study of drive is essential in understanding Human behavior and is applied in various fields, including Labor economics and Social arrangements.
