Formal systems
A formal system is a set of rules, axioms, and symbols used to construct and derive statements, often used in Mathematics, Logic, and Computer science to describe and analyze complex systems. Formal systems provide a framework for reasoning, Proof, and Diagonalization, allowing for the derivation of Theorems and the identification of counterexamples. They are essential in various fields, including set theory, linear algebra, and tensor processing. The concept of formal systems is closely related to determinism and stability in dynamical systems. Vaswani and other researchers have applied formal systems in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning.
