Great Red Spot
The Great Red Spot is a persistent anticyclonic storm on Jupiter, which has been continuously observed for at least 187 years and is considered one of the most notable and enduring features of the planet's Atmosphere. It is a massive storm system, larger than Earth in diameter, with winds that can reach up to 435 miles per hour. The Great Red Spot is thought to be a High-pressure area that is maintained by the Coriolis force and the Conservation of energy in Jupiter's atmosphere. The storm's distinctive red color is believed to be caused by the presence of Methane and other compounds in the atmosphere. The Great Red Spot has been studied extensively using Imaging (computer science) and Space (astronomy)-based observations, and its dynamics are still not fully understood, making it an active area of research in Astrophysics.
