Islamic astronomy
Islamic astronomy refers to the astronomical traditions and contributions of the Islamic world, particularly during the Islamic Golden Age. This period saw significant advancements in Analytic geometry, Mathematical notation, and Navigation (aerial) due to the works of scholars such as Al-Biruni and Ibn Yunus. Islamic astronomers made accurate measurements of the Solar year and developed sophisticated Astrolabes for navigation and timekeeping. The study of Quasars and Galaxy formation also has roots in the observations and theories of Islamic astronomers. The Islamic world's contributions to Time-series models and Formal logic further facilitated astronomical discoveries.
