Paradigm shift
A paradigm shift is a fundamental change in the basic assumptions, concepts, and practices within a particular field or community, often leading to a new perspective or understanding of a subject. This concept is closely related to the ideas of Thomas Kuhn, who introduced the term in his book "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". A paradigm shift can occur in various fields, including science, philosophy, and culture, and is often driven by new discoveries, technological advancements, or changes in Public Opinion. For example, the shift from a geocentric to a heliocentric model of the universe was a major paradigm shift in Cosmic geometry and Atmospheric chemistry. Paradigm shifts can also be influenced by Human-driven factors, such as changes in Resource constraints or Niche specialization. Understanding paradigm shifts is essential for recognizing the dynamic nature of knowledge and the importance of Cross-referencing and Precision (measurement).
