Ways of knowing
The concept of ways of knowing refers to the various methods and approaches used to acquire, understand, and interpret knowledge, often intersecting with fields like Neurobiology, Bioinformatics, and Brain-computer interface. These ways of knowing can be broadly categorized into different types, including empirical, rational, and experiential knowledge. Empirical knowledge is gained through Laboratory experiments and Instrumentation, while rational knowledge is derived from reasoning and logic. Experiential knowledge, on the other hand, is acquired through personal experiences and Movement arts. Additionally, Decolonization (environmental) and Shintoism offer unique perspectives on ways of knowing, emphasizing the importance of cultural and environmental context. The work of Gregor Mendel and other scientists has also contributed significantly to our understanding of ways of knowing.
