Planetary systems
A planetary system is an ensemble of non-stellar objects—planets, moons, asteroids, and comets—bound by gravitational interaction and orbiting one or more stars. Our own Solar System provides the archetype, but modern astronomy has revealed thousands of exoplanetary systems around distant stellar neighbors, fundamentally reshaping our understanding of cosmic architecture.
